Ricardo Corvalan

Ricardo Corvalan was born in Concepcion, Chile, in 1965, Ricardo and his parents were forced into exile after the viscious military coup that overthrew Dr.S.Allende in 1973

Starting his life as an exile at an early age of eight, today he is able to present us with a blend of British and Latin American culture. Ricardo manages to talk politics, from around your daily experience that starts with the onions tou chop in the kitchen to the TV in the livingroom, and your annoying next door neighbours.

Ricardo Corvalan's performances have delighted and enthralled audiences around the country with a potent mixture of politics and magic realism. He has shared the stage with the likes of George Macbeth, Carol Ann Duffy, Lemn Sissay, Mimi Khalvati and Benjamin Zephaniah.
